Ultimately, the project frames TypeCon as a space that is not just seen or read, but entered, where typography builds a world that communicates through its presence alone.

Inspired by Marshall McLuhan’s “the medium is the message” philosophy, this project reimagines TypeCon 2026 as an environment in which typography communicates through form rather than content.
The visual identity is constructed as a glass-like city, vibrant, luminous, and layered, where type functions as architecture. Color, weight, and composition become structural elements, shaping an immersive system that feels open, reflective, and in constant motion. Transparency and overlap create depth, suggesting that meaning is not fixed but refracted, and shifting.
